Large-scale causal discovery using interventional data sheds light on the regulatory network architecture of blood traits

We introduce inverse sparse regression (inspre), an approach to learning causal networks that leverages large-scale intervention-response data. Applied to 788 genes from the genome-wide perturb-seq dataset, inspre helps elucidate the network architecture of blood traits.

Multiset correlation and factor analysis enables exploratory analysis of multi-omic data

We introduce multi-set correlation and factor analysis (MCFA), an unsupervised integration method tailored to the unique challenges of high-dimensional genomics data that enables fast inference of shared and private factors. Applied to 614 diverse samples, we find samples cluster strongly by ancestry even in the absence of genetic information, and identify and interpret factors related to metabolic disease.
